Hailed by the press amongst the brightest talents of his generation internationally, born into a family of musicians in Tirana, Kostandin Tashko has already performed at a young age in prestigious venues such as : Gran Teatro La Fenice di Venezia, Musikverein Wien, Teatro Filarmonico di Verona, Teatro dei Rozzi di Siena, Teatro Verdi di Trieste, Fazioli Concert Hall, Casa da Musica Porto, Gallus Hall & Slovene Philarmonic Hall Ljubljana, Albanian Opera House, Amaryllis Fleming Hall London, Palazzo Chigi-Saracini Siena, Auditoriums of Bari, Brescia, Bolzano & Mantova, Sala dei Giganti Padova, Grande Auditorio Coimbra and many others.
As a winner of dozens of international prizes, his first exposure at a broader, large-scale audience was at the finals of the 1st Ljubljana Festival International Piano Competition in 2023, after being initially selected among the laureates of every major international competition, thus becoming the first pianist to establish and represent Albania at the highest level of pianistic landscape.
Awarded by Lilya Zilberstein, Kostandin is the recipient of “Premio Monte dei Paschi di Siena” 2024, given to the most distinguished student of the piano course at Accademia Chigiana.
The same academy praised him for his virtuosity, labeling him as a rising star of the classical scene.
At the age of 18, he moves from Tirana to Trieste to study with his lifelong professor Teresa Trevisan. This journey brought him also top prizes across all major national competitions in Italy, (including Venice Award in 2021). Later on he also completed the Artist Diploma at Royal College of Music (as Full Scholarship recipient) in London & KUG Graz.
At the age of 22 he was nominated for the Albanian instrumentalist of the year award.
Among some important festivals Kostandin has been invited to perform recently, including Festival Ljubljana, Micat in Vertice Siena, Heidelberg PianoFestival, Santa-Cecilia International Piano Festival Porto, Mittelfest, ACM-Chamber Music Trieste, Festival Settimane Musicali al Teatro Olimpico di Vicenza, Festival di Bellagio e del Lago di Como etc.
During the past years Tashko has established successful collaborations with international orchestras I Virtuosi Italiani, Orchestra Sinfonica del Teatro Verdi Trieste, RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra, Portugese Philarmonic Orchestra, Albanian National RTV Orchestra, FVG Symphonic Orchestra, Filarmonica Bacau among others.
